3.32.010 Definitions

        The following definitions apply unless inconsistent with the context:

 

        CATEGORY, for the purpose of this subchapter, is the code number and resulting trip generation estimate determined by reference to Trip Generation, published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE Manual), and applicable to a developed property.

 

        GROSS SQUARE FOOTAGE, for the purpose of this subchapter, is the calculated area of all buildings located on a parcel or lot, measured along the exterior walls of the buildings. This includes enclosed courtyards and stairwells, but does not include fences and parking areas that are not enclosed within a building.

 

        TRIP GENERATION, the average number of daily vehicle trips, as determined by reference to the most recently published edition of the ITE Manual.

 

        VACANCY, for the purpose of this subchapter, is an entire developed property or building unit that is continuously unoccupied for at least 30 days. “Vacancy” is not when a portion of a developed property without separate water meters is unoccupied.
